fix to hold you over until you figure out what you want, you might want to consider taking a look to see if Harbor Freight has a suitable compressor pump to replace yours. My dad's compressor's pump quit several years back, and he picked up a twin cylinder pump from HF that has held up fairly well. I used the hell out of it media blasting parts for powdercoaiting, and the only issue has been bad valve which was a pretty cheap fix.
Certainly not the best solution, but you might be able to make a useable compressor out of what you have without spending too much money.
